With the unexpected arrival of the pandemic, the extensive quantity of medical waste generated beyond capacity in Abu Dhabi. The Emirate faced a grave requirement to scale up biomedical waste management capabilities to control the Covid-19 waste. The nation is required to preserve the environment from medical waste and further prevent secondary breakout from new infections.

At this point, we set up Al Ahlia Waste Treament LLC (AAWT) to collect, transport, and treat the massive Covid-19-generated waste all across Abu Dhabi. We deployed high-end cold storage containers to hold the medical waste before incineration. This emergency response toward hazardous waste resulted in the effective removal of large quantities of medical waste. Emirate recognized our efforts with a certificate of appreciation.
